The Kathmandu Valley
Palaces, squares and temples with pagoda roofs bear witness to an eventful history, constantly influenced by the Buddhist and Hindu religions. Among the must-sees are the cities of Bhaktapur and Patan, the stupas of Boddnath and Swayambunath, or the site of Pashupatinath. A treat for all art and culture lovers!
Mt Everest
Known as Sagarmatha in Nepal and Chomolungma in Tibet, the highest and most famous mountain on the planet. The trek to basecamp is a demanding high altitude trail attempted by adventures from all over the world each year. Other notable peaks in the region include Cho Oyu, Pumori and the beautiful Ama Dablam.
Chitwan National Park
Located in the low lands of central Nepal, Chitwan National Park is an area of incredible biodiversity. Home to one horned rhinos, Bengal tigers and over 500 different bird species. This wildlife haven is well worth a visit if you have any free time after your adventure in the Himalaya.
