Dubai

Located on the southeastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula, Dubai is a modern metropolis set amidst arid desert. With striking skyscrapers, artificial islands, and luxury resorts, the city's roots are held within it's trading history. From the early days where fishing and pearling formed the start of Dubai's economic rise, it has evolved to become one of the most wealthy places on the planet.

A mecca for adrenaline seekers, there are plenty of thrills available both in the city and stretching out into the nearby desert. From flying across the water on jet skis, to flying through the air in a balloon, many choose to have a go at sandboarding or dune bashing, searching for that rush of exhilaration.

The city is also known for its innovation, creating record-breaking landmarks like the Burj Khalifa and the iconic shape of the Palm Jumeirah. Yet, despite its modern wrapping, traditional Emirati culture is still present in areas like the historic Al Fahidi district and in the local customs and cuisine that can be found in Dubai’s Old Town.
