France is the third largest country in Europe, after Russia and Ukraine, and has a wonderful mixture of natural terrain to explore. The capital city of Paris is famed for its culture, fashion, arts, science, and known for its turbulent and ancient history.

From the stunning beaches of northern France to the lush green wine regions of southern France, there is plenty of nature to experience here. The French Alps begin at the south-eastern corner of France where they straddle the borders into Switzerland and Italy. The high-altitude French, Italian and Swiss Alps are famous for their skiing in winter and the climbing, trekking, mountain biking and adventure activities in the warmer months.

This slightly longer and more technical trip is perfect for explorers wanting a more challenging route.
