Our local operations in Pakistan are based in the mountain city of Skardu and led by Zafar, who manages an expert team who knows the routes intimately. With over 40 years of experience in mountaineering, trekking and tourism in Pakistan, the team are of hand-picked expert guides, cooks and porters specialize in guiding you through the remote, wild landscapes of northern Pakistan.

Zafar’s team is comprised of expert guides, cooks and porters who embody the legendary hospitality of the Balti people. Being locals, our guides offer more than just navigational skills and route knowledge; they share traditional folk tales and songs along with stories of past expeditions and their local knowledge. Our catering teams have been working with trekking groups for years and have crafted impressive menus that can be created using limited facilities. Using just two gas burners, our cooks prepare incredible three-course meals every night and ensure the dishes you eat are both varied and provide the nutrition you need to keep going in this high-altitude environment. This dedicated support allows you to fully immerse yourself in the rugged beauty of these mountainous landscapes, knowing every detail of your journey is in expert hands.
