Located in the east of Africa, Tanzania is bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi and DRC to the east and Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique to the south. This stunning country is home to the vast savannahs of the Serengeti National Park, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro, located in Kilimanjaro National Park, and has over 800km of tropical Indian Ocean coastline. The exotic island of Zanzibar is a short hop off the mainland and the popular Seychelles are just across the horizon further east.

Tanzania is arguably the best place for safaris in the whole of Africa. The difference between the 2- and 3-day safari adventures and the 4-to-7-day safaris are the different national parks in Tanzania you’ll have time to visit. The shorter safari trips visit the beautiful Tarangire National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site Ngorongoro Crater which are closer to Arusha and Kilimanjaro. Longer wildlife expeditions journey further afield to the iconic Serengeti National Park in addition to Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
