Located in the east of Africa, Tanzania is bordered by Kenya and Uganda to the north, Rwanda, Burundi and DRC to the east and Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique to the south. This stunning country is home to the vast savannahs of the Serengeti National Park, the highest free-standing mountain in the world, Kilimanjaro, and has over 800km of tropical Indian Ocean coastline. The exotic island of Zanzibar is a short hop off the mainland and the popular Seychelles are just across the horizon further east.

Tanzania is arguably the best place for safaris in the whole of Africa. It’s possible to spot the ‘Big Five’ in the wild here - elephants, lions, rhinos, buffalo and leopards – and is one of only a few places you can still find these magnificent animals in their natural habitats. The shorter safari trips visit the beautiful Tarangire National Park and UNESCO World Heritage Site Ngorongoro Crater which are closer to Arusha and Kilimanjaro. Longer wildlife expeditions journey further afield to the iconic Serengeti National Park in addition to Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
