This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing adventure travel company on the edge of the Lake District National Park. Kandoo Adventures specialises in trekking, climbing and active adventure trips to some of the world's most iconic destinations and stunning natural landscapes.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Sales Manager to lead our growing team of sales consultants and deliver an exceptionally high level of customer service to our customers, as we guide them through the booking process and help them prepare for their trip.
Requirements
· Passion: a genuine passion for adventure travel, hiking/trekking and the outdoors is essential. Your travel experience and eagerness to explore new destinations will be invaluable when speaking with our customers
· Communication: you need to be an excellent communicator and able to deliver very high levels of enthusiastic, sincere customer service, both on the phone and via email. You also need to be confident in product training and presenting to both internal and external stakeholders
· Team spirit: we're looking for a real team player who is comfortable working in and supporting a growing team
· Team management: we would like you to have experience of leading a successful, target-driven team and helping others to maximise sales opportunities
· IT savvy: ideally you'll have experience using a variety of IT tools, including customer relationship management software
· Organisation skills: you need to have superb organisational skills for you and your direct reports, as well as having a real eye for detail
· Self-motivated: you need to be a self-starter with a strong desire to work in an fast-paced environment
· Experience: we're looking for someone with a minimum of 3 years experience in a sales or reservations role within the travel industry, as well as experience of leading a team
Responsibilities
Initially your responsibilities will focus on:
· Managing and helping to recruit a growing sales consultant team
· Looking for opportunities to maximise sales opportunities, promote our trips and improve our processes
· Speaking with customers via phone and email to guide them through the booking process and secure the sale
· Completing administration relating to each sale and liaising with our operations teams in the UK and our overseas destinations
· Providing continued customer support and information for pre-trip planning
· Chasing potential leads and selling Kandoo Adventures enthusiastically
· Managing bookings through our CRM and processes
